Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade is hosting “Kickoff to Rebuild” event in the historic Coconut Grove community.

“Kickoff to Rebuild” is an NFL-sanctioned event hosted annually by Rebuilding Together in the Super Bowl host city. The event has been preserving affordable homeownership and revitalizing communities in Super Bowl cities.

“Kickoff to Rebuild” will include more than 300 volunteers from the Miami-Dade community, "The Steve Harvey Morning Show", former Miami Dolphins Dwight Stephenson and Dick Anderson, All Pro Buffalo Bill Roscoe Parish, local and national sponsors, as well as current and former NFL players. The volunteers and sponsors will donate time, money and materials for the event, which includes a community clean-up and the revitalization of seven homes in the Coconut Grove neighborhood. After the work day, volunteers and community members will enjoy a block-party style celebration for their hard work and dedication to rebuild.

“Kickoff to Rebuild” will also be accepting cash donations for Haiti’s earthquake victims. The money will be split evenly between AmeriCares and the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer (HAS) in Haiti.
