Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade Receives Grant From the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation

The grant will be used towards preserving affordable housing in Miami-Dade and is specifically designated to revitalize the home of a 57-year-old Miami man who was left handicapped and wheelchair bound after a motorcycle accident 30 years ago. The man has lived in the home for 42 years, but has struggled with its maintenance due to his disability and financial burdens.
The project includes repairing windows, plumbing and the roof, replacing bathroom accessories, painting the house exterior and treating for termites.
